IASCU publishes IDSCU records through a controlled release process. Source files are preserved, classified and checked before changes are approved for public publication.
Sector classification
Records classified as K-12 Education enter the schools database and receive a K12- identifier. Records classified as Postsecondary Education enter the postsecondary database and receive a PS- identifier.
Validation
IASCU applies documented release controls covering required fields, identifiers, slugs, country codes, structured values, record counts, search coverage and detail-page routing. Every release is verified in staging before production publication.
Record matching
Name, location or website similarities can identify records for review. Records from different education sectors are never merged automatically.
Updates and removals
Stable content hashes identify changed records so unchanged data is not rewritten. Potential removals are retained for review rather than deleted automatically.
