Institution overview
Delft University of Technology is a Dutch technical university based in Delft. Its history begins with the Royal Academy established in 1842, and its present educational role combines engineering and scientific study with design and research. The institution uses the English name Delft University of Technology and the Dutch name Technische Universiteit Delft. Its degree provision covers bachelor's, master's and doctoral study. Academic areas include engineering, architecture and the built environment, industrial design, computing, mathematics and applied sciences. Dutch and English are used across programmes, so the language of a particular course must be considered alongside its qualification and entry requirements. The Delft campus brings together faculties, research facilities and the university library.
