Institution overview
Aalto University is a Finnish university based at the Otaniemi campus in Espoo, within the Helsinki metropolitan area. It was established in 2010 through the merger of three institutions specialising in technology, economics, and art and design. This origin remains visible in the combination of disciplines across the university. Aalto offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral education through six schools. Its academic coverage includes engineering, chemical and electrical technologies, science, business, art, design and architecture. Finnish, Swedish and English feature in its educational provision, and applicants need to consider the language of their particular degree programme.
